Podcast Interview: How to Make Data a Diplomat
I’m pleased to have appeared on the Christian Nonprofit CFO podcast to discuss making data a diplomat at your executive table. I had a great discussion with the host, David Beroth. In the growth architecture work I do, I help businesses ensure they deploy data-driven business growth strategies. However, the same holds for nonprofits and social good organizations.
Because of the events of 2020, which only accelerated the move into the digital space, leaders have found themselves trying to solve complex business issues but not realizing the solution to scale move their organizations forward with velocity. That creates a gap that prevents leaders from taking their ideas from mind to market, including national chapters and affiliate groups in the philanthropic sector.
At the core of the solution for this challenge is data information, which defines the measures and dimensions of a preferred future.
Moreover, it empowers organizations to create the internal capacity to deliver the outcomes. But how do you use data strategically? How do organizations integrate it as the core of their operations? In this podcast interview, you learn how to do it.
Find out what growth architecture means for your business and revenue growth. By understanding the idea of it, your team is empowered not to create dependencies. Instead, you learn how to empower your team into multi-disciplinary experts to develop new capabilities to achieve your goals.
Discover in the podcast why you must rely on data at the core of your operations. Unfortunately, everyone has biases, and we tend to lean into the information that reinforces our beliefs. However, data offers us the chance to find ways to create a shared narrative around organizational growth measures.
Let data speak for itself—and listen. Humans are subjective, and their opinions have biases. However, when you place data information at the core of all decision-making, you have an independent judge. Once your organization accepts data at its core, enormous momentum gets unleased. Find out why that’s the case in the podcast.
Listen to a case study about how a team of executives had ideas and opinions about the organization’s decline. Still, for all of the discussions, once the data got presented, it didn’t bear out the ideas, opinions, and biases of the team. A shift was made to make informed decisions based on data. The result was revenue growth and expense decline.
Making data the diplomat at your executive table means making it the bridge between the opportunity that exists among your financial and non-financial leaders.
Listen to the podcast interview to fully understand how to incorporate data fully into your executive decision-making. There’s no reason to fear data or believe it’s only for the “numbers” people. Once you understand the intersectionality between data and growth architecture, your organization will scale and expand in capacity.
I welcome the opportunity to become a guest on your podcast or webinar if you want to discuss more the integration of growth architecture and data in organizations.
